“It will be a record warm February — further proof of global warming. Or it will be a record cold February — also proof of global warming. Or it will be the most average February temperatures on record — which would be the greatest proof of global warming of all.”
“But it turns out Obama has already spent nearly half his presidency outside Washington. As of January 2, Obama has been president for 712 days. According to figures compiled by CBS News reporter Mark Knoller, who serves as a sort of unofficial White House record-keeper, Obama has spent 339 of those days — nearly 48 percent — outside Washington.”
“When asked if she had intended to keep the wallet, Heinrich replied, “No, not at all.”
Heinrich said she even contacted police and asked them for help tracking down the owner.
Once McCreary got back to Casper, he filed a police report.
Police phoned Heinrich back and asked her for the wallet. She said she was going to hang on to it until she heard from McCreary what he wanted her to do.
She said police became aggressive and demanding, but she held firm.
“I just didn’t need to be bullied,” she said.
Police then arrested Heinrich, and was charged her with interference.”
“America’s worst enemies are closer to home than Afghanistan. Fortunately for now we still have the Second Amendment to keep them at bay. Here’s what happened when a Marine home from the war tried to take his wife out to the movies on Christmas night in Bradenton, Florida:”

“DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano is visiting Afghanistan with a contingent of border security and customs officials to advise their Afghan counterparts on border control, according to a DHS press release. Secretary Napolitano will meet with Afghan officials as well as U.S. border security experts already deployed in the area to discuss progress being made in securing the region. “
“Her surprise visit comes before charges have been filed in the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry near the U.S. border, and while DHS and law enforcement officials across the United States are on a heightened state of alert over potential attacks on New Year’s Eve. “
New Year’s Musings
“How did we ever put ourselves as a nation, and as a people, in a position where everything has become a privilege that used to be a right, and everything that has been your right to aspire to has become your right to have, even when the only way to acquire it is to steal it from someone else?
Think about this as you nurse the hangover from last night’s debauchery.
* The right to liberty, as expressed in The Declaration and recognized in The Constitution, inherently includes the right to locomotion for private purpose. So why do you have a “driver license”? The State is within its rights to regulate commerce within a state, and The Federal Government is within its rights to regulate commerce between the states. Therefore, a requirement to posses a commercial driver license if you are engaged in business upon the roads is Constitutional. An alleged requirement to possess one to use the public roads as a private citizen, engaged in nothing more than personal locomotion for private purpose, is not. Yet as soon as you agree to the precept that you “must” have said “license”, converting your Constitutionally-protected right into a privilege by your own hand, look what you give up:
o You may be compelled to give testimony against yourself. Breathalyzer or blood test anyone? The 5th Amendment prohibits forcible self-incrimination and the 4th Amendment requires a warrant for searches and seizures. You waive both when you convert your right to locomotion for private purpose to a privilege under State administration!”
