The Purposeful Flooding of America’s Heartland

“Perhaps the environmentalists of the Corps grew tired of waiting decades to realize their dream of a “restored Missouri River.” Perhaps these elements heard the warnings and saw in them an opportunity to force an immediate re-naturalization of the river via epic flood. At present, that is impossible to know, but to needlessly imperil the property, businesses, and lives of millions of people constitutes criminal negligence. Given the statements of Corps personnel, and the clear evidence of their mismanagement, the possibility that there is specific intent behind their failure to act must be investigated without delay.

In recent decades, many universities have steeped their Natural Sciences curriculum in the green tea of earth-activism, producing radically eco-centric graduates who naturally seek positions with the government agencies where they can best implement their theories. Today, many of these men and women have risen high in their fields, hiring fellow travelers to fill subordinate positions and creating a powerful echo chamber of radical environmentalist theory. “

Bill would freeze Obama admin’s power to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants

“The Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is crafting a bill that would temporarily freeze the Obama administration’s power to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants.

The measure is in response to a memo issued by the head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) last week that approved a broader breadth of discretion for agency officials when considering whether to deport someone through the Secure Communities program.”

The State Of The Economy

“The U.S. economy is like a rubber band that is being pulled in several different directions at the same time. Everyone knows that at some point it is going to snap, but nobody is quite sure exactly when it is going to happen. Right now, the state of the economy is not good, and it is going to get a whole lot worse. Sadly, most Americans don’t even understand the economic fundamentals well enough to be able to ask the right questions to our politicians. Today, the United States consumes far more wealth than it produces every single month. That means we are continually getting poorer. U.S. debt is also rising at a far greater rate than U.S. GDP is. On an individual level, if your assets were going down every single month and if you were going into more debt every single single month it would be easy to understand what was happening. However, most Americans can’t really seem to grasp what is taking place on a national level. Our politicians and the mainstream media just keep telling them that everything is going to be okay and they just keep believing it.”

Max Keiser And Sandeep Jaitly Explain Why Modern Economics Is “Rubbish”

“One of Zero Hedge’s recurring peeves with modern economics (at its basis, the flawed premise behind modern broken capital markets) is that modern economics, as taught by every Ivy League, and other, institution, and implemented by modern acolytes of Keynes and other spin off theories, is nothing but garbage: a sham voodoo science, which attempts to attribute an empirical basis to something which is inherently irrational”

Third World America: Drowning in Debt and Choking on Lies

“If a drunk driver crashed his speeding rental car into your house and killed your spouse, you would be outraged if law enforcers took bribes and refused to give the driver a blood test. If the judge then gave the killer a small fine and ordered you to pay the fine and pay for all the damages, you’d be outraged. If the government then handed the drunk-driver keys to a bigger faster rental car, handed the drunk driver an even bigger bottle of whiskey, and then gave you the rental bill; you’d storm Washington, blizzard elected officials with protests and organize friends and associates to vote these malefactors, the elected officials that betrayed your trust, out of office.

Yet, we’ve remained largely silent in the face of the same sort of behavior by Wall Street and Washington. Bonus-seeking bankers crashed into Main Street’s economy and ran control frauds within banks that would have failed without taxpayer bailouts. Bureaucrats and elected officials bailed them out without demanding consequences. Bankers are revving their engines again in credit derivatives, currency derivatives, and commodities trades. “Financial reform” addresses none of the latter problems.”

Public Unions Reject Sweetheart Deal in Connecticut, 7,500 Layoffs Coming Up

“I am constantly in awe of the blatant stupidity of rank-and-file public union workers. In Connecticut, AFSCME and other public unions voted down a proposal negotiated over many months that contained a “no layoff” clause for 4 years in return for a pay freeze for 2 years.”

Redistribution of Wealth

“The Democrats enlisted the help of nefarious organizations such as SEIU, ACORN, community agitators, and other street organizers to picket the homes of bankers to force them to lend money to non-credit worthy customers under the false charge of racism. Once the loans were approved, with very little checking of documentation, the bankers had no choice but to package bad mortgage loans with good ones and resell them to others in order to minimize loss. Bankers are in business to make money for their stockholders, not redistribute wealth among citizens. “

“Bush the son made a weak attempt to stop the mortgage abuse but it was not enough. A Democrat-controlled Congress overrode several attempts made at accountability. Corrupt lawmakers like Maxine Waters, Barney Frank, and Chris Dodd, all Democrats, maintained that giving 100% mortgages to people who had shady credit and insufficient income worked well and protected the poor. They maintained that home ownership was a right and denying it was discriminatory and racist.

These happy beneficiaries of the Ponzi scheme mortgage loans called Community Reinvestment Act, which was bound to crash at some point, participated willingly in the destruction of other people’s lives and wealth. Why would they care if other Americans saved their money, were responsible citizens, bought homes they could afford, made payments on time, paid all their bills, and maintained a good credit rating? Although on welfare, it was their right to own a home, said ACORN through bullhorns, while picketing bankers’ homes.”

Can Obama say 9 Orwellian lies in 3 Afghanistan speech sentences? Yes, he can!

“Upon US public critical mass recognition of the “emperor has no clothes” obvious facts that current US wars are not even close to lawful, President Obama will be a leader among an oligarchy of War Criminals that go back several Administrations.

Until such time, Americans have the opportunity for unique heroism, intellectual integrity, and public service to explain, document, and prove that speeches such as Mr. Obama’s are tragic-comic Orwellian lies. The tragedy is the millions killed directly by unlawful war lies and indirectly by lies that allow a million children’s deaths every month from preventable poverty, the billions made to live in misery, and the trillions of our dollars looted.”
