Newark Cop: “I Can Do Whatever the Hell I Want”

Getting Prepared: An Emergency Car Kit

“We all know what a bug out bag is: “A portable kit that contains the items one would require to survive for seventy-two hours when evacuating from a disaster.” You will hear such a kit referred to by many other names, including “72 hour kit”, “go bag” or “G.O.O.D (get out of dodge) bag”. The exact term you use is not really important since the whole goal is to have basic essentials for survival readily available should disaster strike.

A couple of days ago I wrote about the myriad of things that could happen to put you and your family in a bug out situation (see A list for those that think it will never happen to them). Some situations, such as an earthquake or tsunami, are natural disasters and others, such as a nuclear melt-down or civil disobedience, are man made. The common thread with all of these disasters is the need to mobilize quickly and to have everything you need ready – really ready – with no scrambling around or afterthought.”

Jim Rogers: “The US Has Already Lost Its AAA Status…I Am Short The US Bond Market As We Speak”

“While there is nothing new in the just released Jim Rogers interview with the WSJ, it is always refreshing to hear him tell the truth, which is, of course that “the US has already lost its AAA status. Who cares what Moody’s say.” As for the response: “The market looks ahead: this is not the first time that the market has dealt with the fact that the US is bankrupt.” As for his proclivity to buy long term US debt: “I wouldn’t lend money to the US in US dollars for 30 years at 3%, or 4%, or 5% or you name the interest rate…. I shorted it June 10. I am short the US bond market as we speak.” Great stuff as usual.”

Studies confirm link between cholesterol drugs and higher rates of diabetes

“Seven years after the American Diabetes Association urged all diabetics, regardless of whether or not they had high cholesterol, to take statin drugs because they “may have some other qualities that have not been tested,” (http://www.naturalnews.com/001110.html), a new analysis published in the Journal of the American Medical Association shows that statin drugs actually cause diabetes.

The findings also confirm the general ineptitude of American disease and medical groups that continually push dangerous drugs on the public that have never been adequately verified for safety or effectiveness.

The study, which includes data from five randomized clinical trials, appears poised to highlight the alleged benefits of statins to lower cholesterol levels, rather than focus on their link to causing diabetes.”

Norway Killings Prompt Crackdown On Brits Opposed to Immigration

“On Sunday, The Telegraph reported that Scotland Yard is searching for a shadowy network of Brits who allegedly hosted Norway’s accused mass murderer, Anders Behring Breivik, prior to his killing spree last week.

Officials say Breivik claimed that he was just one of up to 80 “solo martyr cells” recruited throughout Western Europe who were ready to follow his example of trying to overthrow governments tolerant of Islam, according to the newspaper. “

New rules of gold, courtesy of Barack Obama

President BHO has appointed a Golf Czar; major rule changes in the game of golf will become effective in August 2011. This is only a preview as the complete rule book (estimated at 2000+ pages) is being rewritten as we speak. Here are a few of the changes.

Golfers with handicaps:
- below 10 will have their green fees increased by 35%.
- between 11 and 18 will see no increase in green fees.
- above 18 will get a $20 check each time they play.

The term “gimmie” will be changed to “entitlement” and will be used as follows:
- handicaps below 10, no entitlements.
- handicaps from 11 to 17, entitlements for putter length putts.
- handicaps above 18, if your ball is on green, no need to putt, just pick it up.

These entitlements are intended to bring about fairness and, most importantly, equality in scoring. In addition, a Player will be limited to a maximum of one birdie or six pars in any given 18-hole round. Any excess must be given to those fellow players who have not yet scored a birdie or par. Only after all players have received a birdie or par from the player actually making the birdie or par, can that player begin to count his pars and birdies again. The current USGA handicap system will be used for the above purposes, but the term “net score” will be available only for scoring those players with handicaps of 18 and above.

This is intended to “re-distribute” the success of winning by making sure that in every competition, the above 18 handicap players will post only “net score” against every other player’s “gross score”. These new Rules are intended to CHANGE the game of golf.

Golf must be about Fairness. It should have nothing to do with ability, hard work, practice, and responsibility. This is the “Right thing to do.”

Bureaucrat Stays on Payroll for 12 Years Without Working

“Meet Jill McGlone, personification of the Obamunist economy:

For the last 12 years, a Virginia woman hasn’t set foot in her office and has done zero work, yet she’s been collecting an annual salary that has totaled more than $300,000. Recently, the bookkeeping mistake was discovered and her payments were discontinued, but now she’s filing for wrongful termination and unemployment benefits!

It all started more than a dozen years ago, when Jill McGlone, who had been working as an office assistant for the Norfolk Community Services Board, was suspended for “revealing confidential medical information.” Apparently, authorities forgot to suspend her pay, however, and the checks, which totaled about $26,000 per year, kept going out, according to Washington, D.C., news site TBD.

When the other bureaucrats finally noticed that she wasn’t even warming a chair, the free money was finally cut off — triggering the inevitable screeches of unfairness:”
