“Adam Greene is on his stomach as a pack of police officers pile on him, driving their knees into his back and wrenching his arms and legs. One officer knees him in the ribs; another kicks him in the face.
“Stop resisting,” officers on the video yell, but Greene, his face pushed into the pavement, hasn’t resisted. He doesn’t even move — maybe can’t move — because he’s gone into diabetic shock caused by low blood sugar.”
“A Highway Patrol trooper enters the scene first, gun drawn, and kicks the driver’s window of Greene’s four-door sedan. After several moments, the trooper opens the door.
The trooper, his gun still raised, then gives Greene conflicting commands. He first tells him not to move, then tells him to come forward.
A second trooper quickly cuffs Greene’s wrist and pulls him from the car, which rolls forward until an officer stops it.
Greene flops to the ground, clearly dazed as five officers rush him. A sixth officer, with Henderson police, enters the frame late and delivers five well-placed kicks to Greene’s face.
“Stop resisting mother (expletive)!” one officer yells.
Greene doesn’t scream until a second Henderson officer knees him in the midsection — and then does it three more times. Greene was later treated for fractured ribs.
Police suspected Greene was intoxicated as he weaved among lanes about 4 a.m. on Oct. 29, 2010, and finally stopped his car near Lake Mead Parkway and Boulder Highway in Henderson.
But that wasn’t the case, which they soon discovered after they searched Greene.”
“Henderson police said a sergeant involved was disciplined. The sergeant remains employed with the department.”
if anyone else did that they’d be in jail for assault, give em a tin badge and blue costume and they have free reign to break the laws they are supposed to enforce
Bruins Goalie Who Snubbed White House Invite Hits Obama Again, Says He “Supports Catholics Fight For Religious Freedom,” Quotes Nazi-Era “First They Came” Poem…
“Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas may be taking a liking to this whole politics thing.
The Stanley Cup MVP, who snubbed President Obama last month and said it had “nothing to do with politics or party,” took to his Facebook page today to weigh in on the president’s decision to require employers, including religiously affiliated ones, to purchase insurance that covers birth control.
“I stand with Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom,” he wrote. Thomas then went on to quote the famous poem, “First they came…” about the failure to speak up during the rise of Nazi Germany.”
“I Stand with the Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom,” Thomas wrote, followed by a quote from Martin Niemoller.
“In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist,” Niemoller’s quote begins. “Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.”

“American veterans and the entire country of Viet Nam affected by Agent Orange have been shafted beyond imagination due to corruption within the US government and US courts. US courts have protected Monsanto and Dow Chemical from liability and criminal prosecution. The US government has shielded Monsanto and Dow from the massive cost of medical treatment for victims and environmental remediation cleanup costs that would drive these corporations into bankruptcy.
Dioxin has a half life of 100 years or more when it is below the surface, leached into soil or embedded in river or stream sediment.
Dioxin was generated as a byproduct of herbicide 2,4,5-T made by Monsanto and Dow, the top 2 producers of Agent Orange. Dioxin causes cancer, birth defects, liver damage and other major health problems.”

Regulations.gov website makes it easy to track the millions of pages of edicts levied upon us by our federal overlords
“It’s about time the federal government gave us Regulations.gov, a helpful Internet portal that indexes the hundreds of thousands of pages of laws, regulations, and dictates that we’re expected to know.”
“Thankfully, this new portal makes it straightforward to find out that:
• Tomatoes are governed by 7,789 existing and proposed regulatory documents.
• Window cleaning is regulated by 5,579 documents.
• Light bulbs, by 4,038 documents.
• Dry peas, by 1,775 documents.
• Lint filters, by 439 documents.
• Home gardens, by 436 documents.
• Lemonade, by 175 documents.”

What Are We Going To Do If The Number Of American Adults That Can’t Take Care Of Themselves Continues To Set New Records?
“Today, the number of American adults that can’t take care of themselves is at an all-time record high. So what are we going to do if the number of people dependent on the government keeps going up? Some folks like to point out that most Americans that have recently become dependent on the government would rather be working, but because of a lack of jobs they have gotten into a position where they cannot take care of themselves anymore. Some other folks like to point out that the number of Americans that abuse the system and that enjoy being dependent on the government is steadily increasing. Sadly, both of those positions are true. It is a fact that the percentage of working age Americans that actually have jobs has declined dramatically over the past several years because of a lack of jobs. It is also a fact that a growing percentage of Americans believe that it is the job of the government to take care of them from the cradle to the grave. What people need to understand is that the government is the problem and not the solution. We desperately need more jobs in this country, but the federal government has been absolutely killing job growth, it has been creating a culture of government dependency, and it has been going into gigantic amounts of debt trying to take care of so many people. So what are we going to do if the number of American adults that can’t take care of themselves continues to set new records year after year?”
“A bill passed in by Congress this week paves the way for the use of surveillance drones in US skies. The FAA predicts that by 2020 there could be up to 30,000 drones in operation.
Once signed by president Obama, the FAA Reauthorization Act allows for the FAA to permit the use of drones and develop regulations for testing and licensing by 2015.
The bill will exponentially speed up and streamline the process by which the FAA authorizes the use of drones by federal, state and local police and other government agencies. Currently, the FAA issues a certificate on a case by case basis.
The legislation represents the result of a huge push by the military industrial complex to open up US skies to what will become a multi-million dollar business.”

“The world’s greatest snow-capped peaks, which run in a chain from the Himalayas to Tian Shan on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan, have lost no ice over the last decade, new research shows.
The discovery has stunned scientists, who had believed that around 50bn tonnes of meltwater were being shed each year and not being replaced by new snowfall.
The study is the first to survey all the world’s icecaps and glaciers and was made possible by the use of satellite data. Overall, the contribution of melting ice outside the two largest caps – Greenland and Antarctica – is much less then previously estimated, with the lack of ice loss in the Himalayas and the other high peaks of Asia responsible for most of the discrepancy.”
Students at a high school in Boca Raton, Florida, must step over rivers of urine and endure the stench of rancid waste after a plan to bring ‘green’ waterless urinals into bathrooms backfired.
School officials at Spanish River High School thought they had found an environmentally-friendly, cost-saving solution for their bathrooms when they installed Falcon Waterfree urinals in their boys bathrooms.
But with no water moving through the school’s copper pipes to flush the urine into the sewer system, the waste produced noxious gases that ate through the metal, leaving leaky pipes that allowed urine to drip into walls and flow onto floors. …
Now, the school district, which was hoping to save $100 a year in water costs for each waterless urinal, must pay $500,000 to repair the damage and replace the appliances with the traditional flush variety in four high schools.

“It appears as though Australia is now competing with the U.S. for the “most authoritarian government in the ‘free world’” award, as officials down under have now passed new rules mandating that all air travelers be forced to go through naked body scanners before being allowed to fly. Except unlike in the U.S., Australian travelers will not have the option to “opt out” and receive a full-body pat down instead.
The Daily Telegraph reports that the new rules have been introduced into Australia’s Federal Parliament, and provision a $28 million overhaul that includes adding naked body scanners to all the nation’s airports beginning in July. The machines are produced by L-3 Communications, which also produces them for airports in the U.S.
Trials on the machines began last summer at airports in Sydney and Melbourne, where air travelers had the option to test the machines. At that time, the machines were found to create many false detections, including detecting ordinary perspiration as if it was a deadly weapon to be used for committing an act of terrorism”
