Despite obama’s effort to shut him down, filmmaker D’Souza says projects will go ahead

Dinesh D’Souza tells TheDC: ‘I’m going to proceed with my work…the film will be unimpeded’

“Conservative writer and documentarian Dinesh D’Souza is not intimidated by the federal election-law charges filed against him late last week.

“I’m going to proceed with my work and my ideas and the film will be unimpeded by whats going on,” D’Souza told The Daily Caller, referring to his forthcoming feature documentary “America,” which he said will “knock out the moral underpinning of modern progressivism.”

D’souza was indicted last Thursday for election fraud for allegedly using straw donors to contribute $20,000 to the losing New York U.S. Senate campaign of his friend, Wendy Long. Facing a maximum of two years in prison, D’Souza pled not guilty and made $500,000 bail. Obama appointee Preet Bharara, the publicity-savvy New York Southern District U.S. Attorney who brought the charges, is speculated to be a top prospect for an Attorney General job in a Hillary Clinton administration. Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz suggested that the charges are politically motivated, but Cruz’s comments were edited out of a CBS “Face the Nation” transcript.”

Wannabe dictator obama to bypass Congress in 2014, rule by agency decree

January 26, 2014 1 comment

“White House officials say President Barack Obama will aggressively use his control of federal agencies to impose his progressive agenda on the economy and society throughout 2014.

He’ll largely ignore GOP legislators, except to push GOP leaders to accept an amnesty for at least 12 million Democrat-leaning illegal immigrants, according to several White House officials who outlined the strategy to the Washington Post.

“Washington veterans have been brought into the West Wing to emphasize an executive style of governing that aims to sidestep Congress more often,” said the approving Washington Post article.

The new plan “is to bring all of the government alive in a way we have never been very good at,” said another official.

“We’ll be doing that as aggressively as possible…. and if we succeed, that is a big presidency,” a senior administration official told the Post.”

New Record: Instead of Passing Laws, The Obama Regime Issued 3,659 Economy-Crushing Regulations In 2013…

January 7, 2014 1 comment

The Obama administration made up for the lack of laws passed in Congress last year, issuing a whopping 3,659 rules regulations, crushing claims that Washington isn’t doing anything.

Only 65 public laws were signed by President Obama in 2013, meaning that his government issued an average of 56 new regulations for every one, a record high ratio, according to the annual analysis by the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The surge in regulations has led critics to charge that Congress is now a bystander to federal regulatory agencies.

Obama Regime Continues To Use Shutdown To Punish Vets: Closes Regional Veterans Affairs Offices, Delays Benefits…

Regional offices run by the Department of Veterans Affairs closed Tuesday as furloughs began for 7,000 employees of the agency’s Benefits Administration.

“All public access to VBA regional offices and facilities will be suspended … due to a lack of funds,” Veterans Affairs Department spokeswoman Victoria Dillon said in a statement provided to The Hill.

The government shutdown, in its eighth day, has caused agencies to send government workers home who are deemed “non-essential.”

FEMA, for example, called some of its furloughed employees back to work to track Tropical Storm Karen, but they were then re-furloughed Monday.

No one will be answering phones at regional veterans offices, which veterans call to check on the status of their disability benefits.

obama continues temper tantrum, blocks therapy dogs from visiting sick children in hospitals

NIH Stops Therapy Dogs From Visiting Sick Children

“The Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health has suspended its dog therapy program because of the government shutdown, according to John Burklow, spokesperson for NIH.

Burklow said the dogs, which pay visits to patients in the hospital, including children with cancer, have to seen by veterinarians, and a “team” on staff made the decision to suspend program.

“A vet needs to evaluate the dogs, and given that there is a 25 percent reduction in staff (furloughed), we focus our activities and staffing on the care of patients already at our hospital,” Burklow said.”

Extreme Hypocrisy! Obama Orders Federal Workers To “Make Life As Difficult For People As We Can”

“Why would the president of the United States try to purposely hurt the American people? Well, in 2013 this is done in order to score political points and force the opposition in to doing what you want them to do. A few days ago, an angry Park Service ranger publicly admitted that he and his fellow rangers have been ordered to “make life as difficult for people as we can” during this government shutdown. That Park Service ranger would never have received such an order unless it came from the very top. Apparently the Obama administration plans to cause as much pain as possible until Obama gets everything that he is demanding. In many cases, it is actually going to cost far more money to put up barricades and use guards to keep Americans from visiting open air memorials, driving on roads, and fishing in bodies of water than it would to put up a “closed” sign and simply go home. As you will see from the examples posted below, the Obama administration is being extremely spiteful and vindictive. And the level of hypocrisy that we are now witnessing is hard to fathom. For instance, the National Mall has been totally closed to the public, but the Obama administration is specifically reopening it for a massive pro-immigration rally that will benefit the Democrats politically. The abuse of power that is taking place is absolutely staggering, and the American people need to demand that those that are abusing it be held accountable when all of this is over.”

Obamacare shutdown theater: President holds entire nation for ransom with contrived closings

October 8, 2013 1 comment

“The government “shutdown” is a hoax. It is pure theater designed to make life as miserable as possible for Americans while the government keeps collecting taxes, racking up debt expenditures, running foreign wars and doing all the unconstitutional things government does these days. It is now becoming obvious to nearly all Americans that the Obama administration is running a pernicious, punitive, selective “shutdown” that’s designed to hold the American people hostage until Obama gets his way. His “ransom demand” is total capitulation to his demands for endless spending, the total takeover of medicine by Obamacare, and the centralization of power in the hands of the few.

The Obama administration ran a similar gambit a few months back when it started releasing thousands of felony criminals from U.S. prisons, claiming it was forced to do so because of sequestration budget cuts.

Today, the Obama administration has barricaded World War II memorials, shut down access to private businesses, closed parts of the OCEAN, closed tourist viewing areas of famous landmarks and gone out of its way to attempt to inflict suffering and inconvenience upon the People of America. It has punitively blocked access to a private hotel and even kicked people off private lands as part of the government’s shutdown theater.”

White House Can’t Cite Any Steps Taken By Obama Admin To Soften Impact of Shutdown…

White House spokesman Jay Carney declined to describe any steps taken by President Obama to soften the impact of the government shutdown on Americans.

Instead, Carney tried to blame Congress for the actions of officials in Obama’s agencies who have denied use of free government services by blockading public spaces and parks, shutting down White House and agency websites, and excluding Catholic priests from military bases. [...]

Has the president “used his agency power and asked any regulator to make life easier in any way for Americans, for example … not putting out signs, not picketing parks, and restarting websites?” The Daily Caller asked Carney in the Oct. 4 White House briefing. “Please give me some examples.”

Obama: Too many Americans blame both parties for shutdown

October 3, 2013 2 comments

“President Barack Obama repeatedly complained on Thursday that the public took a skeptical attitude toward his decision to shutdown the government rather than agree to the GOP’s Obamacare reform proposals.

According to the president, too many Americans believe “both sides are just squabbling” and “neither side is behaving properly.”

“The only thing that’s keeping the government shut down … basic research from starting back up, and farmers and small businesses getting their loans, is that Speaker John Boehner won’t even let the [2014 budget] bill get a yes or no vote, because he doesn’t want to anger the extremists in his party,” Obama said during a speech given to a construction company.”

Shutdown Theater NPS Orders Closure of Park that Receives No Federal Funding

“The National Park Service has ordered the closure of a Virginia park that sits on federal land, even though the government provides no resources for its maintenance or operation.

The Claude Moore Colonial Farm announced on Wednesday that NPS has ordered it to suspend operations until Congress agrees to a deal to fund the federal government.

According to Anna Eberly, managing director of the farm, NPS sent law enforcement agents to the park on Tuesday evening to remove staff and volunteers from the property.

“You do have to wonder about the wisdom of an organization that would use staff they don’t have the money to pay to evict visitors from a park site that operates without costing them any money,” she said.

The park withstood prior government shutdowns, noting in a news release that the farm will be closed to the public for the first time in 40 years.

“In previous budget dramas, the Farm has always been exempted since the NPS provides no staff or resources to operate the Farm,” Eberly explained in an emailed statement.

“In all the years I have worked with the National Park Service … I have never worked with a more arrogant, arbitrary and vindictive group representing the NPS,” Eberly said.
