Wannabe dictator obama to bypass Congress in 2014, rule by agency decree

January 26, 2014 1 comment

“White House officials say President Barack Obama will aggressively use his control of federal agencies to impose his progressive agenda on the economy and society throughout 2014.

He’ll largely ignore GOP legislators, except to push GOP leaders to accept an amnesty for at least 12 million Democrat-leaning illegal immigrants, according to several White House officials who outlined the strategy to the Washington Post.

“Washington veterans have been brought into the West Wing to emphasize an executive style of governing that aims to sidestep Congress more often,” said the approving Washington Post article.

The new plan “is to bring all of the government alive in a way we have never been very good at,” said another official.

“We’ll be doing that as aggressively as possible…. and if we succeed, that is a big presidency,” a senior administration official told the Post.”

New Record: Instead of Passing Laws, The Obama Regime Issued 3,659 Economy-Crushing Regulations In 2013…

January 7, 2014 1 comment

The Obama administration made up for the lack of laws passed in Congress last year, issuing a whopping 3,659 rules regulations, crushing claims that Washington isn’t doing anything.

Only 65 public laws were signed by President Obama in 2013, meaning that his government issued an average of 56 new regulations for every one, a record high ratio, according to the annual analysis by the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The surge in regulations has led critics to charge that Congress is now a bystander to federal regulatory agencies.

Obama Regime Continues To Use Shutdown To Punish Vets: Closes Regional Veterans Affairs Offices, Delays Benefits…

Regional offices run by the Department of Veterans Affairs closed Tuesday as furloughs began for 7,000 employees of the agency’s Benefits Administration.

“All public access to VBA regional offices and facilities will be suspended … due to a lack of funds,” Veterans Affairs Department spokeswoman Victoria Dillon said in a statement provided to The Hill.

The government shutdown, in its eighth day, has caused agencies to send government workers home who are deemed “non-essential.”

FEMA, for example, called some of its furloughed employees back to work to track Tropical Storm Karen, but they were then re-furloughed Monday.

No one will be answering phones at regional veterans offices, which veterans call to check on the status of their disability benefits.

obama continues temper tantrum, blocks therapy dogs from visiting sick children in hospitals

NIH Stops Therapy Dogs From Visiting Sick Children

“The Clinical Center at the National Institutes of Health has suspended its dog therapy program because of the government shutdown, according to John Burklow, spokesperson for NIH.

Burklow said the dogs, which pay visits to patients in the hospital, including children with cancer, have to seen by veterinarians, and a “team” on staff made the decision to suspend program.

“A vet needs to evaluate the dogs, and given that there is a 25 percent reduction in staff (furloughed), we focus our activities and staffing on the care of patients already at our hospital,” Burklow said.”

Extreme Hypocrisy! Obama Orders Federal Workers To “Make Life As Difficult For People As We Can”

“Why would the president of the United States try to purposely hurt the American people? Well, in 2013 this is done in order to score political points and force the opposition in to doing what you want them to do. A few days ago, an angry Park Service ranger publicly admitted that he and his fellow rangers have been ordered to “make life as difficult for people as we can” during this government shutdown. That Park Service ranger would never have received such an order unless it came from the very top. Apparently the Obama administration plans to cause as much pain as possible until Obama gets everything that he is demanding. In many cases, it is actually going to cost far more money to put up barricades and use guards to keep Americans from visiting open air memorials, driving on roads, and fishing in bodies of water than it would to put up a “closed” sign and simply go home. As you will see from the examples posted below, the Obama administration is being extremely spiteful and vindictive. And the level of hypocrisy that we are now witnessing is hard to fathom. For instance, the National Mall has been totally closed to the public, but the Obama administration is specifically reopening it for a massive pro-immigration rally that will benefit the Democrats politically. The abuse of power that is taking place is absolutely staggering, and the American people need to demand that those that are abusing it be held accountable when all of this is over.”

Obamacare shutdown theater: President holds entire nation for ransom with contrived closings

October 8, 2013 1 comment

“The government “shutdown” is a hoax. It is pure theater designed to make life as miserable as possible for Americans while the government keeps collecting taxes, racking up debt expenditures, running foreign wars and doing all the unconstitutional things government does these days. It is now becoming obvious to nearly all Americans that the Obama administration is running a pernicious, punitive, selective “shutdown” that’s designed to hold the American people hostage until Obama gets his way. His “ransom demand” is total capitulation to his demands for endless spending, the total takeover of medicine by Obamacare, and the centralization of power in the hands of the few.

The Obama administration ran a similar gambit a few months back when it started releasing thousands of felony criminals from U.S. prisons, claiming it was forced to do so because of sequestration budget cuts.

Today, the Obama administration has barricaded World War II memorials, shut down access to private businesses, closed parts of the OCEAN, closed tourist viewing areas of famous landmarks and gone out of its way to attempt to inflict suffering and inconvenience upon the People of America. It has punitively blocked access to a private hotel and even kicked people off private lands as part of the government’s shutdown theater.”

White House Can’t Cite Any Steps Taken By Obama Admin To Soften Impact of Shutdown…

White House spokesman Jay Carney declined to describe any steps taken by President Obama to soften the impact of the government shutdown on Americans.

Instead, Carney tried to blame Congress for the actions of officials in Obama’s agencies who have denied use of free government services by blockading public spaces and parks, shutting down White House and agency websites, and excluding Catholic priests from military bases. [...]

Has the president “used his agency power and asked any regulator to make life easier in any way for Americans, for example … not putting out signs, not picketing parks, and restarting websites?” The Daily Caller asked Carney in the Oct. 4 White House briefing. “Please give me some examples.”

Obama-nation! Elderly Couple Tossed Out Of Home They’ve Owned For 40 Years Because Of “Shutdown”

“The government shutdown is being felt close to home for some locals. They say they’re being forced out of private homes on Lake Mead because they sit on federal land.

Joyce Spencer is 77-years-old and her husband Ralph is 80. They’ve been spending most of their time in the family ice cream store since going home isn’t an option.

The Spencers never expected to be forced out of their Lake Mead home, which they’ve owned since the 70s, but on Thursday, a park ranger said they had 24 hours to get out.

“I had to go to town today and buy Ralph undershirts and jeans because I forgot his pants,” Joyce Spencer told Action News.”

Obama Illegally Furloughing Civilian Defense Employees at STRATCOM

October 5, 2013 1 comment

“On Friday, Rep. Lee Terry (R-NE) told Breitbart News that President Obama was illegally furloughing approximately two thousand federal civilian defense contractors at Offutt Air Force Base, in direct contravention of the Pay Our Military Act, passed last week through Congress and signed by Obama himself. Those four thousand employees represent approximately two thirds of the civilian personnel at Offutt Air Force Base.

The Pay Our Military Act explicitly promises “such sums as are necessary to provide pay and allowances to the civilian personnel of the Department of Defense (and the Department of Homeland Security in the case of the Coast Guard) whom the Secretary concerned determines are providing support to members of the Armed Forces.” According to Terry, Congress intent was to keep support personnel on the job, especially given that US Strategic Command is operated out of Offutt Air Force Base. STRATCOM “integrates and coordinates the necessary command and control capability to provide support with the most accurate and timely information for the President, the Secretary of Defense, other National Leadership and regional combatant commanders.””

The Debt Limit, The 14th Amendment, And The GOP

“First, what is a debt? A debt is evidenced by some instrument. In this case the instrument is a Treasury Bill, Note or Bond. Whether the old-fashioned style with coupons around the edge or whether newfangled and electronic, the debt of the United States must be evidenced by a formally-issued instrument.

No other item is a “debt.” A political promise is not a debt. Even a law that has been passed is not a debt. A law passed that has funds appropriated but which do not exist does not create a debt.

Only an actual issued Treasury Instrument is a debt.

Congress is given the power, explicitly to enforce all the provisions of this article (Amendment 14.)

So Congress has done so. In doing so Congress has passed legislation that limits the ability of the Treasury to issue debt to a specific maximum amount. Congress could also limit the composition (e.g. terms and types) of debt if it so decided, but it has not — that has been left to the discretion of Treasury.

The Executive has no authority to exceed that which Congress enabled, irrespective of what it may otherwise think.

However, The Executive is bound by The Constitution (and its Amendments) as is Congress.”
